hai friends. I have a virus threat…?
Im using XP. I have a virus threat. The name of the Virus is “Win32:Adware-gen [Adw]” and the affected file in my laptop is “C:WINDOWSInstaller846b43.msiBinary.AdVantageSetup.exe”
Even though i deleted the virus when AVAST showed the warnings, again and again it shows the warning. My system now slows down.
So, i turned off the SYSTEM RESTORE and then I deleted the virus. But again it shows the same virus in the same place.
plz help me in this regard. let me know what i should do. thank u all in advance…

Try useing Avast in safe mode.
If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power
Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a “keyboard error” message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.
Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
When you are finished with all troubleshooting, close all programs and restart the computer as you normally would.
Anther program you can use that is effective for Win32 problems is,
