spyware help can’t erase?

I have a new windows vista, and I have spywayre doctor with anti-virus on it. So far it has protected me pretty well.
This morning my computer had shut down. I turned it back on, which took longer than usual, and I ran a full scan on spyware doctor. It found 85 infections of spyware. When I try to erase them my computer shutsdown. I tried twice, but everytime I try to fix (erase) them, it shuts down.
I just went through all of this with my other computer, thats why I got a new one. PLEASE HELP

you should always run your anti-virus in safe mode (press F8 as it boots up) this should solve your problem.
