Deleting Adware… Is it safe?
Old Question – I bought a laptop around four months ago and over the past week it has had 100% CPU usage, does anyone know how i can fix this?
Ive done virus scans and used CCleaner but none of this is working and its starting to really annoy me!!
So someone told me to use MalwareBytes… and i did and it said i had 2 infected objects (Adware.BHO and (Adware.VideoEgg) these are both registry keys – is it safe to delete them because i have no idea…
My advice to get Spybot Search & Destroy as second AntiSpyware scanner. If it confirms this particular adware is on your system than it is safe to remove. And always restart your system and rescan it after spyware/Adware Removal. If the same adware shows up again, it means that you have trojan horse malware on your computer. You will need special trojan horse removal software. Hopefully it will not get to that.
Wait with reinstalling Windows. If your system is responsive and you installed many programs on it, there is no need for that.
