Help my best friend please!!!!!!?

My best friend installed system protect from http://www.system-protect.com/ which automatically updates all programs including his xp pro pirated… fortunately he also had kaspersky internet security 2009 trial version n so it denied xp update but after that when he clicked firefox in his start up list… It came that he was not having permission n when he wanted to open other applications… the same error message appeared n he could not even shutdown his PC n he restarted but the same problem came when he opened spyware terminator… He also scanned his PC with kaspersky IS 2009 n it did not detect… Why he got such problem? He then formatted his hard drive n installed a fresh copy xp pro but he is afraid because he thinks that microsoft will arrest him… Please help my best friend n will microsoft take any action? How to escape? Please reply seriously….

The amount of pirated XP copies is gigantic. If your buddy was distributing copies of XP en masse(meaning, dozens and hundreds of copies) and was being paid for it, only then, just maybe, will RIAA take action.

Unless MS is losing a lot of turnover because of an individual’s actions, they’ll undertake measures.

Otherwise, they’d be busting a lot of my friends and colleagues and…*nudge nudge*

If he just had a pirated version, then I’d suggest he’d get a non-pirated version (xp licenses can bought on the website of MS and are dirt cheap nowadays).
