my sister inlaws computer recently ended its spyware trial.. now her laptop isnt turning on?

everytime she tried to turn it on all it is is just a black screen… did her lap top crash? or did a virus mess it up? and if it did how do i fix it?

sounds like a virus has messed up the video card, is it onboard video or a installed card threw a PCI slot?
