help with possible virus please?

when i went on the computer this morning a new toolbar was at the top of the page under the address bar, i could not access my email through msn as it came up that the computer was a threat and suggested downloading this spyware thing which my norton saw as a threat. i have also been getting loads of popups for dating and porn. my husband has been through the programme files and deleted all but its still there. i have run a full norton scan aswell as the free mcaffee one but no threats were found and the problem still persists
has anyone got any ideas?
it wont let me access some websites.
hubby has just installed firefox rather than using internet explorer and the probkem isnt there but has anyone got any ideas?

Norton isn’t really that good. Free virus protection does just as good job (sometimes even better) so when your license runs out get AVG, Avast or Avira. All are free.

You have Spyware on your computer, download Spybot – Search & Destroy, it is free basically all you need to do is download, update and run.
