How do you get rid of Outerinfo or Adware.Purityscan?

I’ve tried Spysweeper, Adware 6, and XofspySE. I even got rid of any new games my fiancee’ recently downloaded. Symantec Antivirus keeps trying to get rid of it along with something called “Adware.Purityscan” associated with alg.exe. It is located in a weird folder called C:WINDOWSs?stem32. I am scared to delete it because i am afraid that it will damage something critical in WINDOWS. Everytime I try to google it I get a bunch of sites wanting me to download their product, I just deleted Spyware Doctor, thinking that it was the problem, since it seemed to start soon after I installed it. I only installed Spyware Doctor because it was recommended in PCWorld. I’ve tried Hackthis, but it only gives a log to some company in Germany. who is supposed to tell me what to delete, but I don’t have the time or patience. Please help!!!

okay, dont install any new crap in your pc. I didnt know that there are sales executives in Yahoo Answers. Well, anyway. I was affected with this stoopid bullshit a few days ago because of my little brother. But there’s a good way to remove it. And even if it get installed on your computer again, it wont work. Just be a little brave to apply these steps. and be carefull.

First install MVPS HOSTS,

Download and unzip hosts.zip http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.zip and extract all the files in a new folder.

Open up the hosts folder and double-click on the mvps.bat file, follow the instructions. It will rename your present HOSTS file to HOSTS.MVP, then it will copy the new HOSTS file to the correct location on your machine. It happens very quickly so don’t blink!

Now, Go to Start > Run, type services.msc. Press OK.
Scroll down to DNS Client, Right-click and select: Properties
Click the drop-down arrow for “Startup type”
Select: Manual, click Apply/Ok and restart

You’re done with this step.

Next….

Look in your control panels add/remove programs for any of these and uninstall them:

Oin
Yazzle by Oin
Purityscan by Oin
Snowballwars by Oin
or anything similar with Oin or Outerinfo in it.
Zolero
Tizzletalk
MediaTickets
Cowabanga
and any other programs you didn’t install or don’t recognize.

If you can apply them correctly it will work. Because it did work with me. and there is no spyware that could remove or repair outerinfo.
