I have Norton Antivisus sofware – will it stop all adware ?

I just renewed and reactivated it again but before I did that I had a bunch of popups and was not able to access email and I cannot still – I am using another pc to post this question. The Norton has not removed the adware that is already in the pc. Will it stop any auto dialers – bots that give me long distance charges on my phone bill. Please advise and help – 10 points to best answer.

You will be lucky if it blocks anything. Norton is a piece of junk. There are free spyware and anti-virus programs out there that are far superior. I recommend AVG anti virus and Spybot.
