I have malware or spyware and it won’t let me do a system restore! HELP, please!?
I started to notice problems about a half hour ago. I had been away from the computer and this program “Antispyware Soft” had done a scan on my computer. It had found some threats and now all of a sudden everything is infected according to the pop ups I get. Tried to install and open Malwarebyte’s Anti-Malware and I get a runtime error ’0′ for a second and then a pop up tells me that that file is infected. Tried to run System restore to reset my computer to yesterday, but it tells me it is infected. Tried to use Google Chrome to post this and it told me that was infected, too. I’m using Firefox right now and that runs fine.
I’m not sure what to do, so I have turned to you guys! Please, help! Thanks!
I would also like to add that I’ve now started getting a few pop up adds too…
Antispyware Soft is a scam and a virus itself, but you already figured that out.
