which antivirus,anti spyware malware?

Im about to buy a new pc running on vista,i would like to know which antivirus,spyware and malware software to buy can i get a platform that guards against them all or individual suites,or is there a combined spyware malware programme,i would prefer not to pay if thats possibe to still have good protection and would i have to get rid of my windows firewall to let any of them run,also is do people worry about all 3 threats i.e malware spyware antivirus or should i just concentrate on programmes for spyware and antivirus

Well, let me tell you something. I see quite a few people asking for help here when having malware and generally they are the free products, and yes I see quite a few malware infections involving free Avast too.

I think personally, you can get away with not paying couple of years back, but, malware has evolved since then, becoming more progressive, more sophisicated and harder to remove. So, the key point now, is how good your prevention is.

I’m willing to pay for top notch programs but at the end of the day, it’s you that gives your computer the best chance of preventing malware. I have Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, Malwarebytes PRO, SuperAntiSpyware and A-Squared (both free) Now, this is what I don’t understand is why people have free version of Malwarebytes (which doesn’t give you protection against rogue and other form of malware) when you can get PRO for little over £17 and no subscription. I think my combo is probably one of the best you can get.
