* This program too, is designed for MS Windows.
* It is maintained by Lavasoft AB Sweden. There is a freeware version, i.e., Ad-Aware Personal and two commercial ones, i.e., Ad-Aware Professional and Ad-Aware Plus.
* The freeware version is quite compatible with MS Windows 98, NT, Me, Xp, 2000, 2003 and also Vista.
* Since June 2006, Ad-Aware Personal has stayed as part of Google Pack.
* The benefit of using the Professional and Plus version depends on inclusion of real-time scanning. It means that the users are protected as they browse the Internet and it is not required for the users to scan manually as done in freeware version.
3) ZeroSpyware Screenshot
* ZeroSpyware Screenshot too has been designed for MS Windows.
* It is maintained and developed by FBM software and is a shareware.
* It often scans and removes most of the Spywares and adware programs which include root-kits, Trojans, dialers, browser hijackers, key-loggers and other surveillance software.
* ZeroSpyware Screenshot has Flash-based interface with a customer support system that is built in..
* Though, once listed as a rogue anti-spyware, the hounding issues were resolved as revisions were done on the same.
4) Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool
* This program gets updated through the Windows Update, every month. It was, however, released in January 2005.
* It got released as a simple Virus removal tool when started by Microsoft. Now it aims in helping out many users by supplying fundamental anti-virus security.
* Since its release, Microsoft claims to have removed nearly 16 million malicious software infections. The report from the company also states that the tool assists in removing malicious software, i.e., 1 out of 313 machines it executes on.
