my son has got a spyware that we can not remove help?

an explainatin mark comes up on the bottom of the screen you click on it it say….Trojan-spywin-32@mx spyware program that sends confidential info to a remote attacker…if you click on it for more info and some kind of like pest remove or something thing else like that comes up on can i get this off his computer? this not the first time he has done this i usually have to take the computer in to be cleaned up any suggestion plese i can’t afford to take it to the shop..thanks oh he has norton on there and avg
