Do mobile phones need anti-spyware?
There’s a late-evening commerical on digital TV that’s been bugging me; it’s selling annoying ringtones and a tracking service “for novelty purposes” that can be used to find out where people are. I can live with the ringtones but should I be worried about the tracking service? Could it be used by weirdos to stalk ex-girlfriends or by intrusive employers to spy on their workers?
Also, is it possible for mobile phones to be infected with spyware in the same was ans computers? Could someone obtain credit card details and pin-numbers through information sent over a mobile phone?

Yes if they are running windows mobile – bit if you have a Win-Mo device the best thing you can do is dump it they are so unreliable, freeze or lose filesdailyy and are difficult to properly exchange data. they are also prone to trojans and viruses as well!!
they encrypt data on the internet as well as PC’s on https sites but on email and unprotected http they are a security risk… its more about the site than the device.
Tracking services are something you subscribe to and can only be activated if you accept the terms from the mobile you want to track (unless you are security services who can do it anyway)
