Should I buy a security suite, or get firewall, antivirus, etc. separately?
My aunt offered to let me use one of the uses on her Verizon Internet Security Suite. I’m curious, since I already have most, if not all the programs usually included in security suites-
Firewall: Zone Alarm (free, but I’m looking to get the paid version)
Antivirus: AVG Pro 8.5 (full)
Malware/Spyware: AVG Pro 8.5 and MbAM (free)
Cleaner: Registry Mechanic 8 (full), Ccleaner
Do I really need the security suite? Should I just save my aunt the drive?
Also, if you have any program recommendations about which programs I should get (or dump) please let me know.
Blondie-
Hey, thanks. I thought for sure that someone was going to say “OMG, those programs are crap! Are you stupid?” I’m glad to see that asking tons and tons of questions has been paying off.
Thank you for recommending superantispyware. I’m be sure to check that out, asap.
Mad-
Oh, yeah. I’ve heard of Kasperky around computer/software forums. That’s definitely something that I’ll consider. Thank you.
Personally what i would get is Kasperky antivirus Internet security 2009 or BitDefender Internet security 2009.
They both have build in firewalls & Malware/Spyware..
I would rather go for the Kasperky though!!!
Both these Antivirus programs are in the top ten best antivirus software for 2009
1st place = BitDefender Internet security 2009
2nd place = Kasperky antivirus Internet security 2009
Hope this helps you out and helps you save money.
