Having trouble installing anti-malware bytes from a flash drive on my computer to get rid of the spyware?

I had PC MightyMax 2009 on my computer, just found it in my program files and deleted it. But I still have trouble installing the anti-malwarebytes from my flashdrive on my computer. It asks where to store it, I leave it in program files(x86) then it pops-up saying on a Setup – Internal error: Failed to expand shell folder constant “userappdata”. I don’t know what to do next to get rid of this error and so I can install the anti-malwarebytes on my computer. Behind this pop-up, it shows where it’s going to install the anti-malwarebytes but don’t know how to get rid of the error. Please anyone know what to do?
Also, after clicking ok on the error message, it says Error- Setup was not completed. Please correct the problem and run Setup again. And then after clicking ok on that, then on the Installing Tab, it says Rolling Back Changes… then the screen goes away.

I think the spyware responsible for this makes a simple change to keep you from installing anything new… go to the UserShellFolders folder in your registry, the one where you were told to delete the Recent folder. Look at the APPDATA folder and notice that it has the path $APPDATA$. On my good comp, the path was %USERPROFILE%AppDataRoaming

change the path on the bad comp to %USERPROFILE%AppDataRoaming and rebooted into safe mode. Then try to install again.
