why do users appear on we;come screen when the pc is locked?
I have noticed recently that when I lock the PC and leave it for some time, sometimes when I come back Internet Guest Account (that’s not main Guest account btw, that one is disabled; this one is from IIS) and Application Center Test Account (from VS 2008) appear on logon “welcome” screen together with my main account.
Normally only my main account is visible.
I know what these accounts are, but I was wondering if it means direct pwnage of the PC e.g. people logging in from remote or smth, or is it just some services that use these making these appear? Are there any legible rules on what accounts appear on the screen and when?
AV/anti-spyware scans in safe mode showed nothing, all the accounts in question and Administrator are passworded.
Disable fast user switching.
start–>control panel–>user accounts–>change the way users log on or off–>remove the check from fast user switching.
Likely no pwnage, just you messing about with some settings.
