Firefox, Safari, IE, Opera, Chrome, or something else?

I am not sure which browser to download for my pc. I want one that is really fast, reliable and virus free. Google chrome is slow as heck on my computer, and internet explorer is okay. Does anyone know of a great browser that is fast and doesn’t contain any worms or spyware?

I’m partial to Firefox, except that the latest release actually runs slower on an older computer of mine. It runs just fine on my newer laptop though. Opera is pretty good. Part of it also comes down to personal preference. Safari works great on a Mac. I tried it for a while, but because I was so used to Firefox, I removed Safari.
