How do I know if my phone has spyware?

I’d like to find out ways to tell if my cell phone has spyware or viruses on it. I’ve heard that cell phones can get viruses on them like computers. My phone is a LG CG225 with AT&T. I’m worried because I’ve heard that some cell phone viruses will cause your phone to send and recieve messages all by itself, without your knowledge. You won’t know your phone has been sending messages all by itself until you get a huge bill for all the messages.

cellphone viruses don’t exist on such basic phones though.

the viruses that do exist require a far more complex operating system to be running on the phone, most normally won’t run on anything except the symbian operating system.

however, the chances of contracting a mobile phone virus for the average phone user is zero. there aren’t many of them in existence, they have no reliable way of spreading, and the requirements for infection of other devices is far too strict given the many makes and models of phones that are in use.

if you download illegal games and applications from the internet for your phone, your chances are increased because there is no quality control on illegal ‘warez’ but for the average mobile phone user there is very little (if any) risk.
