Getting rid of spyware can be a tough thing to do, and other times it’s a quick fix.  There are many options available to get your computer back to functioning at full capacity.  You can go with a paid program or a free one if you choose.  The point is, is that there is a lot available out there.  I am going to go over some free spyware programs.

There are some good free spyware programs out there.  They can be downloaded right over the web for your convenience. 

spyware guard is a free program that actively runs in the background and prevents spyware attacks.  This is a good feature because it needs to be understood that spyware is always trying to infest your computer.  The software will also run a scan to see if there is any spyware currently installed on your computer.

Lavasoft has been making Ad-aware for a while now.  It’s a pretty good spyware removal tool.  In my experience, ad-aware has missed a lot of spyware on my system.  I have had to use other programs to further clean my computer.

Malwarebytes spyware removal tool is an excellent free spyware program.  It also comes with a paid version, but the free version is fully functional.  It can do a quick scan of your files or a full scan of all the files.  I’ll admit that this one is pretty good.  While it did not pick up every single last bit of spyware on my computer, it did a pretty darn good job.

AVG internet security is an interesting and free program that also comes with a paid version also.  This actively protects your system with an array of protection that is top notch.  It will scan your downloads, the url’s you are about to click on, your bookmarks and a whole bunch of others.  The interface is pretty smooth too, which goes with their motto, “tough on threats, easy on you.”

spyware terminator is another spyware program that is free and pretty easy to use.  It offers fast spyware scanning, real time protection, anti virus protection and even multi language support.  It is just another program to consider if you want to go the free route in spyware software.

The way I look at it, if all the spyware software was free, none of the companies that sold any of these products would be in business.  Since there is a paid version on virtually all of these products, you have to be missing out on something, and by the looks of it, something good with the paid version.  If I get an spyware removal tool, it is usually always the paid version because I know it has all of the features that the software has to offer and that those can ultimately help me the most.
