A big problem with many computers these days is caused by malicious spyware. Spyware secretly installs itself when you are clicking around and surfing on various websites. They are generally free, and I recommend Spybot, Lavasoft Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition and Microsoft’s new Beta Defender. All of these are free, with several of these companies also offering premium versions for a cost. Once you’ve installed the programs, in most cases you can “set and forget”, with the programs manually searching for potential threats and also performing regular updates to their databases. This will keep your computer safe at all times, so that you can keep browsing the web without potential harm to your computer.
