Help Spyware Protect 2009 keeps popping up! Is it bad? How do I get rid of it?

Spyware Protect 2009 keeps popping up!
It keeps telling me that my computer is being attacked by a virus and stuff… and that there are threats and to get Spyware Portect 2009.
There’s like
“Spyware Protect 2009 alert
Do you want to block this attack?
junk here
Yes, No” and I keep clicking no.. is that right?
and there’s
“Spyware Alert!
Vulnerabilities found
Junk here
Activate Spyware Protect 2009, Stay unprotected”
and I click stay unprotected, helpppp
I restarted my comp and it’s not appearing anymore…
does that mean it’s gone?
i think it came up from a website.. and it was under SWP2009 Demo or something like that
maybe it wasn’t on here?
i tried add/remove programs and it wasn’t in the list

chances are those alerts were simply pop-ups on some website. but spyware protect 2009 may be already installed on your pc. you can check if the malware is there by going through manual removal procedure: http://www.spywarevoid.com/spyware-protect-2009.html the removal explains what files are installed by spyware protect. if you can’t locate the files, you computer is not infected.
