How is it possible that adult sites expose computers to viruses, spyware, Adware?

I heard that adult websites can expose computers to viruses, spyware, adware, and all sorts of other ills. They also cause PCs to crash for hours.

It’s not just adult sites, it also applies to many other sites.

Use good antimalware programs:
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware – manual scan

Select Full Scan.
Remove all infections that it finds after scan.
