Can i use spybot search and destroy and another anti-spyware?

I use spybot search and destroy as millons of people do but i want to no if i can use spybot and another anti-spyware program?

The basic answer is yes but as always there is a “However”.

Microsoft anti-spyware programme can cause conflicts and as it isn’t very good anyway I wouldn’t bother.

The newest free one on the market is AVG’s which seemed to find a lot more rubbish than S&D and they work fine in tandem. Spybot and Adaware say they don’t like each other but I have found no problems.

The one thing you do NOT want are 2 anti-virus programmes as these always seem to conflict, it is better to use a net based anti-virus checker, I use activescan from Pandasoftware.
