Why does a computer in my house not go online when it’s connected?
This one (a mac) works just fine, plugged into the ethernet cord. However, another computer in the house (an hp) will not. I believe it may be because of a fake anti-virus program called System Security that is on the hp (disrupting the internet connection that is) and I can’t uninstall it or go online (obviously) to download a program that will remove this fake spyware removal clone.
I would download the removal program on my mac and then put it on a flash drive for the hp, but EVERY time I download anything I get the message “the file is not a movie file” and it won’t open. So I’m stuck. Any suggestions?

buy an internet security .i recommend kaspersky internet security for vista &xp.
after a clean install(help provided in manual),
scan your pc.
if there are viruses it will give you the option to kill them.if not,then-
a}ask for free 24*7 help which they provide you
b}restart in safe mode by pressing f8 when windows xp is booting
and scan again.you will be able to kill it.
