I can’t install ANY Microsoft updates! They download , but won’t install. XP Home SP2?

XP HOME-SP2-IE7-Windows firewall_AVG antivirus. Have tried installing without firewall and antivius being active. Full antivirus & spyware scans (Windows Safety Center,LavaSoft)

If your XP version is not a registered copy or if it is already registered to someone else, the downloads will not install.
