How do I remove Anti Virus 2009 from my PC?

I have a new Dell with Windows Vista. I unwittingly downloaded Anti Virus 2009 on my computer only to find out that it is dangerous Spyware and a hoax!!! It is driving me CRAZY!!! Can anyone help???
P.S. I cannot buy any software online, I would like step by step instructions or a reccomendation to a trusted website that can help…Thanks!
Okay, I went online to bleepingcomputer.com, downloaded appropriate software, and my problem is GONE.. Thank you all so no more answers are needed. I will award best answer soon. Again, Problem Resolved.
Oh yeah, I’ve had AVG free version. It is almost like not having a protection system at all. So a big thumbs down for AVG! Again, PROBLEM RESOLVED! Thank you all so much for taking the time to answer my question.
