What can’t McAffee Security Center keep Malware Alarm off my PC?
I noticed that Malware Alarm had somehow got installed on my PC. I presume a pop up had warned of infection with spyware and someone clicked OK and it installed itself. I read some Yahoo answers and other internet articles which warned it was hard to get rid of. Running a McAffee scan didn’t even detect it! Some of the other tools required a fee to use them so in the end I just deleted the folder from Program files and did a registry cleanup using McAffee. It hasn’t reappeared but how do I know it is not still there and running in the background?
It seems I can’t even contact McAffee too let them know about this without paying them even more money to access their phone based technicians.
Has anyone been able to get around this problem? I was worried to read someones opinion that 80% of software claiming to remove malware and spyware was actually causing infections themselves!

you can chat to a advisor free 9 til 5 monday to friday for customer service>..and is 24/7 for technical i think

i havent used it but i assume it like a instant messenger thing
it says esimated waiting time 2mins
p.s have a look in mcafee firewall you will be able to block it if it is in program permissions
