PC’s infected, but anti-virus/spyware isn’t picking it up, and downloads suddenly aren’t working.?

I definitely know it’s infected, because I got a pop up telling me something about “improving computer performance” and when I clicked cancel my browser got hijacked to some amateur looking site that just started trying to scan my PC. Anyway, I did a virus and spyware scan in safe mode and it came up with nothing, and now I’m trying to do online scans and nothing is downloading, either it just doesn’t download or it says it couldn’t connect to the network. I use ZoneAlarm’s anti-virus and Spybot search and destroy.
Yeah, but it must have something you need to download, because it didn’t work, and it’s worked for me before.
Oh, no, wait, shutting down my firewall seemed to fix it.

Go to ASDA, Or WHSmiths, Or some Paper shop, and look for a PC Magazine.

You are looking for one with a DVD or CDROM with an ANTI SPYWARE by AVG.

Or Attempt to DOWNLOAD from http://www.grisoft.com

Or if you are still struggling, get a friend to email you the file.

Best advice ever now..

If it offers you a free scan, or Free Optimisation (as in popup…. It is spyware), If you can download something that costs money for free (as in piracy) It will have spyware.
If you download or look for Keygenerators/serial Numbers, You will get infected.
