Does anyone know of some virus protection software that is FREE and yet does not contain compromising stuff?

Sure, I could pay $60/year for the popular McAfee or Norton virus protection programs out there, but I’m looking for something just as good (if not better) and FREE. I also do not want it to come with spyware or any of those other freaky things that free stuff comes with. Any suggestions?

you can not get a better anti virus system for free.
it has many features you will have to pay for in other systems.

by registering you will get a licence for a full year.
just re-register at the end of the year to get another one year licence.
