How do I get rid of “Microsoft Adware” virus? I have a Spyware Doctor and its Registry Mechanic?

Every time I reboot, the adware still shows up stating my computer is infected and if I want to get rid of it, click here. It directed me to a site where I have to purchase a program. To me, it’s a questionable site because Spyware Doctor tells me so.
