can somebody please explain why links arnt working when i click on them? the ones i cant click are legitamate?

links people send me in messenger msn. plus the little blue links in msn i cant click either like:> forgotten password? : get a new id:> etc….do i need to adjust a setting? can anyone help please. plus, should i have any programs open when im running a virus or spyware scan? and do you always have to do a scan in safe mode? what is the best spyware/ virus program? is Adware stopping being a free program? how can you tell if your virus/ spyware programs been corrupted?

then run AVG Anti-Spyware Free

If you do not have firefox get it now and use it instead of internet explorer so you dont get any more spyware http://securitynewsfromthenet.blogspot.com/
