How do I remove Malware FOR GOOD?

I have a spyware or a virus problem which I guess is what some refer to as Malware. The symptoms include making my Internet browser move EXTREMELY slow as if my computer is running low on memory. I subscribe to Spysweeper with the latest version and definitions and it doesn’t even pick it up. I downloaded Adaware and it picks up the Malware in the HKEYS and removes it. I run fine as normal until after a certain amount of time goes by and it’s BACK AGAIN! How do I get rid of this for good? What program is there that will get rid of it for good? I’m almost to the point of backing everything up and reformatting my hard drive. I’m looking for a complete answer from someone who has dealt with it themeselves or is qualified to answer. Please, no links. I can Yahoo search the topic myself. I just want a direct answer.

How To Remove Spyware

Spyware, Adware, Malware, Badware….whatever you choose to call it, it’s a problem. Chances are that you or someone you know has or will experience some sort of ‘ware’ infection on a computer and it can be frustrating.

First things first – backup your personal data! You should be doing this regularly anyway. If you need instructions on how to backup data in Windows XP you should go to this page http://www.malwaresolutions.com/how_to_backup_files.html

To remove spyware/adware you need two programs (maybe three). The two I recommend are SpyBot Search & Destroy and AdAware. The are both free and can be found on this page http://www.malwaresolutions.com/tools_spyware.html

Download, install and update both programs.

Restart your computer and tap the F8 key on your keyboard as the computer begins to start – this will give you the option of starting in Safe Mode – see more about running a computer in Safe Mode here – http://www.malwaresolutions.com/how_to_start_in_safe_mode.html

Run full system scans with both programs, they should be able to find the problems and remove them.

Restart the computer in “normal mode” and see what happens. If you are still experiencing problems start the computer in Safe Mode again and run the spyware scans once more.

The third program which I find helpful is HiJackThis (for advanced user, the is a powerful tool!) and Windows Defender – which can be found here – http://www.malwaresolutions.com/tools_spyware.html

I have used all of these programs on many computers. I have had a 100% success rate on removing spyware/adware and viruses.

I have also found that using MSCONFIG can be very helpful in removing spyware and adware – see more about MSCONFIG here – http://www.malwaresolutions.com/how_to_use_msconfig.html

Oh, and also, I would download Mozilla Firefox – (web browser), it’s much more secure than Internet Explorer and it has a built in pop-up blocker (Google Toolbar) – you can find it here – http://www.malwaresolutions.com/tools_browsers.html

When troubleshooting a computer with spyware problems the most important thing is to remain patient. I have personally removed over 30,000 infected files from computers over the past two years. I have had a 100% success rate thus far!

Good Luck!
