Best anti-threat software combo (anti-virus / spyware / malware) for my setup based around McAfee on XP?
I’m doing a reinstall of windows. I will be running XP media edition sp3. I want to know what combination will be best to protect against all possible threats. I’m looking for tried tested and true combos based around McAfee av, network magic and windows defender. (Please no speculation or blind fanboy loyalties. Open minded/informed fanboy loyalties are okay
What I will be running…
- XP Media Center Edition SP3
- McAfee AV
- Network Magic – 2 computers networked, one is wireless running vista
- Windows Defender
What I am thinking of running with it..
- Threat Fire (ran well alongside McAfee for months)
- SUPERAntispywareRemover
- Malware Bytes
Should this be okay, non-conflicting?
Any better combos?
Any more anti threat software I should consider?
Any other thoughts/ideas?
P.S. System resources are not a concern, I’ve got decent hardware.
Thanks for your advice and time!
