Last sunday,a friend told me that she have got a spy software,mac keylogger, on her PC.I was astonished about that ,I thouth she was crazy. In my impression,Spy is not such a good word,however,It always collect with some bad things, a spy software is just something like  hacker ,steal information and illleage.

I do think many people think the same with me ,We have make the same mistake that spy software is not spyware,Many times spy software is confused with spyware ,but they are two totally different conception.

OK,now let’s clear up the difference between the two.

Spyware applications are typically bundled as a hidden component of freeware or shareware programs that can be downloaded from the Internet;  Once installed, the spyware monitors user activity on the Internet and transmits that information in the background to someone else. Spyware can also gather information about e-mail addresses and even passwords and credit card numbers. This information is then sold to a third party.

To some extence ,Spyware is similar to a Trojan horse in that users unwittingly install the product when they install something else.It’s treated as a virus by most of the people

So when we hear spy software ,we just think it’s the same with spyware,a really nuisance !
 
But Spy software never do such things. Keylogger,known as a spy software,is used to monitor or record all activities occurring on a users computer.This software is installed directly by the user wanting to perform the monitoring – rather than hiding it on top of another software installation.Now ,more and more parents use keyloggers as a good parental control appliance helping them manage their children to use intnet appropriatly.It’s safe,useful ,convenient and effective.
