I would just remove the whole. Everything I heard about McAfee is that it not really good anyway. When I got on my computer, I found that McAfee even with the updates, it would let some things through it would pick up the AVG. He did not feel comfortable with the performance of McAfee. So I removed McAfee and all its components as well. I AVG Free also, Firewall, Microsoft Defender and Adaware and have not had any problems at all.
