Is avast any good for your mac?

Im still getting malware popups and i cant delete the warnings anyway with it. Should I keep it on there or just delete it? And what kind of protection should I get for my mac because everyone is telling me that viruses don’t affect a mac, but my internet keeps dying with a message like “get malware protection or this will keep happening”. So wtf, what’s with macs? Do I or don’t I need virus/malware/adware protection?

There are no released MacOs X viruses. You do not have a virus. Odds are you have your pop up ad blocker turned off in Safari or Firefox. Just turn it back on.

Eventually you will need an anti-virus, but since there are 118,000 Windows viruses and only 3 Mac malwares, you don’t at this time.
