I have spyware popups every 10secs. Porn icons loaded on desktop. ran spyware, nothing.what do i do?
i have did system restore, ran trend micro pc cillin, window defender, and avg. nothing has done anything!! What else can I do?? when i type, it is severly delayed. please help. new computer.
Stop trying to use anti-virus on spyware. They’re two different things. Threatfire from PC Tools, Spybot S&D from Safer Networking or Adaware 2008 from Lavasoft would be more helpful because they are anti-spyware.
Threatfire monitors for both viruses and spyware and will kill them before they start. Spybot is the best free anti-spyware. Personally, I’d install these two and begin with a S&D scan (after installing the updates and immunising). That should solve the problem. Leave Threat fire running because it’s the only prog I know of that doesn’t conflict with another AV.
Your biggest problem is your behaviour online. Be more careful what sites you visit. If you have a good security set-up and don’t download everything you see, you can surf safely. Porn, music, movies? These will be safer if you exercise caution and keep the security up to date. I haven’t had a bug in two years and surf all the above from time to time.
