How do i remove spyware from my laptop, i have protection?

Ok, now first of all while i ask this question, my computer is infected with spyware. Coolwebsearch and trojanhorse are the 2 that im worried about. I have been sweeping like crazy with norton antivirus and spysweeper. i keep on removing these viruses, but im still getting alerts saying that im infected. Also my desktop is displaying a message that says im infected with spyware. Everytime i change the desktop background, it changes right back within 1 minute. Now my current plan right now is to keep on sweeping multiple times. each time i full sweep it removes about 3 viruses/spyware. so im going to stick with that plan for now. Im really trying to keep this computer alive, and i need advice on how to deal with this threat. I have the protection, and i need help!

Sometimes there are messages that try to bait you to accepting to perform some task that would make your situation worse.

The first thing you must do is copy all your important data so any further problems you may have will not compromise that data. That means e-mails attachments and every picture, movie music, ect-everything.

If you have the purchased version of Norton, not the free one, chances are you should be OK-at least in a few days if the virus is new.

From what you describe, it appears you do have a virus, but you have not mentioned what you are specifically reading or Operating system you have. Without that information, it’s hard to advise.

If you have coolwebsearch, spysweeper should do the job, but there are many types of Trojans. I would suggest writing down whatever shows is infected and them googling it. Generally speaking, you should be able to find the specific solution to your problem that way.

Norton and McAffee are the most popular antivirus packages out there. You are doing the right thing. But, please make sure you first back-up all your data. After you run spySweeper and Norton again, shut down and reboot and then see what is says.
