How do I trusting my internet cheating spouse?

My husband has chatted on occasion with someone who IMed him. I found that he had a new screen name and had sent a picture of himself to this person. He tended to do this when he was out of town or I was out of town. I installed spyware on our computer and have not discovered him doing this again. I still have some trust issues though. I don’t want to keep checking on him, then again I don’t want to let my guard down and be blindsided either. BTW…this was almost two years ago.
