I have sudden attacks of pop ups and slow computer. I tried AVG and CCleaner, did not work!?

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of them? I don’t know if its a virus/malware/adware or whatever you call it. I have no knowledge in that. I tried AVG but even when I press “move to vault” it does not help.

Is there any FREE and GOOD program to get me out of this shit?

Note: I got 4 pop ups typing this, 5th one now.

Do yourself a favor and d/l Malwarebytes at http://www.malwarebytes.org This is a free program that is excellent at wiping out adware.

Install the progam, update it and scan. If you don’t get anything, I’d re-boot into safe mode (tell comuter to reboot, hit F8 key before windows loads) and scan then.

Also the advice above about Firefox is good. It is more secure than internet explorer. http://www.mozilla.com
