As much as I trust Avira with its anti-virus and anti-malware protection, I have found that some spyware still gets through with large amounts of Internet surfing. Spybot’s Search & Destroy has been the best anti-spyware tool around for a long time now, and it doesn’t seem that is set to change anytime soon. Since Microsoft throws in Windows Defender for real-time monitoring anyway, run Spybot once a week and your PC should be just fine.
