Ad-Aware can’t remove detected infections?
I’ve run Ad-Aware and it’s picked up 86 infections. When I go to remove it, I get a message saying that it’s unable to remove anything and that zero will be removed on reboot. I’ve also run AVG 7.5 and it’s not picking up anything, both programs have been updated. Now I’m getting a pop up from something called Awola that claims to be an anti-spyware program but I can’t get it uninstalled.
I’ve never run into a problem where Ad-Aware can’t remove anything and I’ve been using it for years. Any advice would really be great. Thanks in advance.
Try running your security software in safe mode.
Press “F8″ upon boot-up and select “safe mode”.
Antivirus: BitDefender Online scanner – will scan and remove threats.
Anti Adware/spyware: Ewido Online Scanner – will scan and remove threats.
