If I get free anti-virus software on my laptop, should I uninstall my McAfee Free Trial software?

I just bought a new Dell Inspiron 17 laptop and it cam with a free 30 trial of McAfee anti-virus software. Since I don’t want to pay for the software when the trial runs out, I’m planning on getting free software online. When I do, should I uninstall McAfee from my computer? Also, what’s the best free anti-virus and anti-spyware software I can get?

If you won’t use McAfee after the trial then yeah uninstall it, it’d just be taking up space.

I would say getting AVG Free, you have an optional upgrade choice but I haven’t and it works fine for me.

Spybot Search and Destroy is free, it’s a great program as well.

Last I would say AdAware, just like AVG it has an optional upgrade choice, but it works fine without the upgrade.
