Are Free Anti Malware\Spyware as good as the ones you Buy?

Is there a big difference between free and store bought
anti malware\spyware?

I’ve used both and have not really found much of a difference. BUT, I also practice safe computing and know what I’m doing and were I’m going. With either type you can still have issues. There are still software packages that if you download and install can/may install other programs on your system.
