How will I know that i had install some of the software of alexa?

I had read on the net that alexa beame a spyware only if i had installed some of their software.. my spybot detected alexa meaning i have installed software of alexa.. so i want to know what is that software and i want to uninstall it manually.. and also can spybot delete those software or it will only delete alexa but not the installed software? or if alexa was deleted but not the software,, will it return again to my pc? please help..
