I have paid for Avast premium protection (brand new laptop with windows 64) where do I find Mal/spy/adware ?

Where on earth do I find just malware/spyware / adware protection to accompany this (so I am not running two virus protection prog. together) that is compatible with vista 64? Is the double protectiion on malware suggeseted?
Um, Yeah… thanks for taking the time to READ my question ~ it does state that I’m asking for opinions on whether or not I NEED the extra coverage ~ implying that I already KNOW that I have some spyware coverage with my paid for avast ~. And, unfortunately malwarebytes is not compatible with 64.

on a 64 bit Machine it is not reccomended because for one it uses to much space and two its not needed jost focus on paying and constantly (once a week) updating the program and the ivas
