Remove all information about the computer and start all again please help!?

Ok, so I had an Adware spyware and viruses bit, but I just want to start over and make this computer like new. I want to delete all my information and start BRAND NEW. Someone made me a cd with my applications and drivers for the computer to put somebody can help me please do? i XPS M140 have a Dell Windows XP http://images.pcworld.com/reviews/graphics/products/2006/01.06.06/24816_g1.jpg so dose anyone know how to do ..? Then some thing I click on start delete everything? and I have a cd, but it is dose diagnostic test.

Do you use the system discs that came with the computer? If so, any format and reinstall. Put the CD in the drive and boot issue.
