Adware – Malware problem?

Suddenly, I can’t get on the internet. Other programs working fine. Connection is strong and occasionally, it let’s me into yahoo but nowhere else without retrying many times and then extremely limited. I’ve run Norton symantic and also webroot antivirus plus spyware and it doesn’t pick it up. I ran microtrend housecall and it picked up “adware_memwatcher” but It won’t delete using housecall.
Anyone know how to delete. I can’t use the internet so I can’t link onto anything. Help. It’s a PC running with Windows XP

I can’t download or link to internet, so I need help deleting without internet connection at this point.
I just tried to restore to an earlier date. It only allowed me to go back to early Jan. I think problem started before. Anyway, tried restoring to early Jan. and after it rebooted, said could not restore. Help.

i believe your problem is your winsock or your nic card… download this and run winsock fix http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4372.html and as far as the problem microtrend has encountered, there is a good chance that it has detected on of your other scanners. pick one virus scanner(i would keep the nortons if you still have a prescription left). virus scanners dont play well with each other, and can corrupt each other.
