Why does winlogon.exe force my CPU usage to 100% if my connected to the internet?
It will be forced to 100% if my not online. Spybot/adware/virus scans show i’m clean.
I have did everything in the world in msconfig to try and find something that’s trying to update or do something on the internet and I can find nothing. I turned off all the windows servers and winlogod didn’t for to 100% but then again I wasn’t able to get online. I don’t know what the serevers are just so you can get online.
When you long on, something is accessing the internet as it loads…maybe looking for updates. If you go into Run & type “msconfig” you can find everything that loads when you start windows. Write down what loads up & then go into each of those programs to see if there is some checkmark in Options or Preferences that tells the program to search for updates when it loads. Uncheck the option & you should take care of the problem.
