anti virus programs help?

Will an anti-virus program still help me if I already have a virus? I thought anti-virus programs work the best when you don’t have a virus to begin with.

I think it should. I had a virus on my computer and used BitDefender Antivirus.and it successfully removed it. So yeah it should remove it and any other problem software.

Also that question you left on your other page “But will the virus return again if I restore my computer or remove the virus?” It might return, but now since you have antivirus, it should stop it affecting your computer like before .
